What lug width do Fossil watch bands use?
Most Fossil watches, including the Grant, Townsman, and Gen Smartwatch lines, use an 18mm to 22mm lug width. The Minimalist and other slimmer womens styles can run narrower. We stock replacement bands from 12mm to 28mm, and our lug width guide shows how to measure the gap between your lugs.
What is a curved-end quick-release band?
Curved-end bands are shaped to match a contoured case back, common on Fossil's Jubilee and President-style steel bracelets, so the band sits flush against the watch with no visible gap. Many of our curved-end bands also use quick-release spring bars, so you get the factory-original fit without needing a spring-bar tool to install it.
How do I resize a Fossil steel bracelet?
Jubilee, President-style, and standard link bracelets are shortened by pushing out the connecting pins to remove links, then reinserting the pins, no cutting required. Mesh bracelets use a sliding clasp instead, so no links need to be removed. Full instructions are in our bracelet sizing guide.
Will these bands fit my Fossil Gen Smartwatch?
Yes, as long as the lug width matches. Most Fossil Gen Smartwatch models use a 22mm lug width and accept standard quick-release bands, so you are not limited to Fossil-branded straps for swapping styles.
Nylon, silicone, or leather, which should I pick for my Fossil watch?
Ballistic nylon bands hold up well to daily wear and a casual look. Silicone and rubber straps resist water and sweat, making them a better match for workouts or humid climates. Leather bands suit dressier Fossil styles like the Townsman and Grant but should be kept away from prolonged water exposure.
